English-Chinese excursion in Tashkent

by Dina

July,16 on wednesday we had practice of spoken English in the city. We ought to meet with students of my teacher Viola near Amir Temur monument at 9 o'clock. However one of the students didn't come on the meeting, and another one was late.
But we met the group of four Chinese girls. They were very greeting and interesting for us. We grasped them with greediness because it was a good possibility to practice our English. It was very surprising for them, but they agreed with our ideas. Therefore they decided to walk by the city with us. We decided to visit the Art museum. Walking we talked to each about different themes like family, hobbies, Chinese life, traditions. On the way we showed to our new friends different buildings, the hotel Poytaht, the chime, Hokimiyat, the House of photography.
Because of I wasn't there for a long time, I liked these exhibits very much. I, my teacher and Chinese guests saw many interesting things regarding to our Uzbekistan's culture. Besides this building was restored in modern style outside. We saw the articles from clay, marble, also there were fabric clothes embroydered with colored thread.
We were impressed with huge XXXL size muslim men gowns and scullcaps. Asian carpets were amazing and charming. Thanks to conditioners in each hall, we didn't want to come back in the hot streets.
Besides there was the art shop where we could buy some national things like bags, pillows, carpets, scullcpas, jackets. But we just enjoyed lokking at these gismos and went away. I'm thankful to Viola and our guests from the sunny China for this excursion, English and fun!
